On Saturday, May 12, we will be hosting our sixth annual Big Bone & Rabbit Hash Backroad Run. We'll start off with a scenic cruise along the Ohio River and stop by the small town of Rabbit Hash before getting to our destination at Big Bone State Park. It'll then be time to fire up the grill and cook some grub. Playgrounds, hiking trails and a herd of bison are just some things available for your entertainment.

Where and when are we meeting?

We will meet at the Airport Viewing Area 10:30am and hit the road at 11:00am sharp. If you need directions to the AVA, let us know by reply to this thread and we will get them posted.

    How much will this cost?

We do not charge for our cruises and there is no entry fee to Big Bone Lick State Park. A full tank of gas, your beverages and item for the cookout are your only other expenses.

Do I need to bring anything?

Please bring one item for our cookout (chips do not count). Check the sign up list to see who is bringing what and make sure you tell us what you will be adding. Bring your own beverages.

    Bring your cameras and camcorders.

It is also requested that you bring a two-way radio if you have one. This enables the caravan to stay in communication as need be (ie. sudden route change, car problems, bathroom break). We will tell you what channel to tune to at the driver meeting.

    What?

Please join us on Saturday, April 21 as we make our first cruise of the 2012 season. We will be heading to Kentucky Speedway in Sparta to partake in their "Drive The Track" sale. For those of you new to the club, during this ...

Welcome to the 10th anniversary season of the Northern Kentucky F-Body Association!

Over the past ten years our club has seen us grow from a small corner on Rt.42 with a smattering of friends to helping support Cincy Speed's Great American Cruise with over 120 attendees to putting on our annual car show to help further cancer research spearheaded by Wood Hudson Cancer Research Laboratory in Newport, KY. We have expanded online as well. Our website at www.nkyfba.com has also grown from just a small number of gearheads to over 400 members!

This season we are planning on revisiting our old meeting sites for some good memories from years past and then cruising back to McDonald's. Keep an eye out for these special Friday night announcements. We will be digging through the archives and bringing up old pictures and movies along with some good stories. How exactly did Lee's Trans Am end up in a creek? What's with Chuck and the pink elephant? Stay tuned for these answers and more.

We'll have much more to announce as we get into our very special season. So come see what we have been up to both present and past. We look forward to seeing you both in person and online!

Spring is here! That means it's time for our Friday Nights announcement and this year we're pleased to announce that we have been invited back to McDonald's in Ft Wright (corner of KY17 & Dudley). We will be there every Friday (unless otherwise announced) from about 7:00-7:30pm until we leave. We're also pleased to say that McDonald's was looking forward to having us back this year.

Our first Friday night will be April 13 and Fridays will continue through October 26.

Special Note: Keep your eyes open for special Friday night announcements this year as we celebrate our 10th anniversary! One Friday night each month, we will meet at one of our historic meeting places, hang out for a bit and then cruise back to McDonald's. For those of you with an itch to do some cruising on Friday nights, this should be right up your alley!
There is a small portion of their lot that is isolated right in front between the restaurant and KY17 and the lot in front of the bank. There may be some customer cars there when we begin arriving, and a Do Not Enter sign but watch for Lee or one of the other staff members and they will show you where to park. As customer's leave this area, only "Domestic Performance Vehicles" (Camaro, Firebird, Corvette, GTO, Mustang, Challenger, etc) will be permitted into the area. Also we can expand into the banks lot in the front if need be.

Come prepared to hang out and pack a chair if you think about it. Cameras and camcorders encouraged.

We look forward to seeing everyone's rides on Fridays!!!

Please keep the following guidelines in mind while hanging out with us on Friday nights:
    • Absolutely no alcoholic beverages of any kind are permitted on the lot with us at any time. No exceptions!
    • All trash must be disposed of properly. DO NOT leave trash laying on the ground. If you see someone liter, please pick up after them and notify one of the club's staff.
    Directions -
McDonald's is located right off the KY17/Independence/Covington exit from 275. From 75 North or South, take 275 East. Take the KY17 exit (third exit from the 75/275 interchange) and turn right. McDonald's will be on your right.

It is that time again! Time for mistletoe and holly (not carburetors, but yes, a Holly Best), tacky holiday sweaters, moose egg nog glasses, and reindeer antler headbands, time with friends and family, and of course, white elephant gift exchange and car parts games! Ah yes, it is once again time for our Holiday Party 2011.

Please join us for another evening of good food, good friends, and good times, as we celebrate the holiday season and reminisce about another year for the NKYFBA club. Here is the information:

    When: Friday, December 2, 2011
    Time: 6:00 pm
Where: Pizza Hut located at 3061 Dixie Highway, Edgewood, Kentucky 41018 (we will have our own private party room again)
Why: to celebrate the holidays and because we like you

During this party, there will be activities, games, and great prizes. One of the games is the white elephant gift exchange. The specifics of the game will be discussed at the party, but just know that the funner/crazier/weirder the gift you bring to exchange is, the better! There is stealing of others' gifts involved and the possiblity that you may be stuck with a great pizza cutting set , or a DVD of Kung Pow in Little Bangkok, a large delicious sausage, or even a fabulous colon cleaning kit! Guaranteed to be a fun time, please post up if you plan to participate in this game and will bring a gift to exchange.

We have always had a great time at our annual holiday party and hope you will join us!

Please chime in below if you are attending so we can get an accurate count.
